Roman Forum

The Roman Forum was the area of the ancient Rome that served as the center of government. of ancient Rome. It was the administrative and legal center of the Republic and of the Roman Empire. Romans went to the Forum to hear famous orators speak. Many important and beutiful building of Roman Empire are stood here.

A walk in the Forum.
The Roman Forum or Romanum, as it was called at the time, already boasted a number of important buildings: arch of Titus, Basilica of Maxentius, Curia and Comititum, House of Vesta... The visitor who is only passing through Rome should pause a moment in the valley of Roman Forum.
