Kirche Santa Sabina

Die frühchristliche Kirche von Santa Sabina wurde im Jahre 422 von Pietro d'Illiria gegründet. Heute sie beherrscht den Hügel Aventino und ist der ideale Ort für die Spaziergänge der Römer durch die nahen Gärten der Orangebäume. Diese Kirche hat schöne geschnitzte Türflügel aus dem 5. Jahrhundert n.Chr., welche die Kreuzigung darstellen. Sie können das mittelalterliche Kloster nicht vergessen zu besuchen; der Eintritt ist frei aber man kann eine Gabe machen.
