Die Kirche Santa Maria degli Angeliwurde von Michelangeloin die Ruinen der Diokletianstermenan der Piazza della Repubblicaintegriert. Die Kirche wurde später barockausgebaut. Das Querschiff fiel dabei länger aus als das Längsschiff. Die Sonnenuhr in der Kirche ist beachtenswert.
